To create cultures with brave spaces where people feel safe enough to show up as their whole selves feels difficult in times of division and burnout. For leaders to model authenticity while creating these spaces is to create connection and foster vulnerability. The ability to own our emotions, stay curious, use curious language, and practice the skill of empathy are the skills of courage we can all learn to create cultures of belonging both at home and in the office.

Learning objectives

This session will enable you to:

Understand the critical role that self-awareness plays in courageous leadership and cultures.

  • Discover the five attributes of empathy.
  • Learn curious language for difficult conversations.
  • Add two techniques to your toolbox to improve resilience skills.
