Join us on August 15, 2024 from 8:00 - 9:30 a.m. (7:45 am check-in, coffee and conversation) at The Richmond Heights Community Center to hear from five experienced organizational development leaders on the State of Leadership Development. During this discussion, each speaker will have the opportunity to share best practices and examples of successful execution on one or more of the following topics:

  • Mapping leadership / people management skills in an organization
  • Program design and evaluation
  • Assessment tools and coaching
  • Coaching-based learning journeys
  • Participant selection and stakeholder buy-in

Q&A will follow the prepared presentations.

About the Panelists

Ryan McCreaRyan McCrea, Head of Learning and Leadership Development at Ameren – Ryan McCrea leads a team focused on corporate learning and development programs. Prior to Ameren, Ryan was Vice President – Manager of Talent Development at Commerce Bank. In this position, he launched a corporate-wide professional development program, while overseeing the strategy around people and leadership growth. Ryan has certifications in Situational Leadership, 4 Stages of Psychological Safety, DiSC, MBTI and is also a Social and Emotional Intelligence Coach. He received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Southern Indiana and a Master of Arts in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.

Steph AupingSteph Auping, Co-founder and Chief Learning Officer, Leadership & Co - Steph Auping focuses on cultivating skillsets, nurturing a curious mindset and amplifying leadership impact in her work to prepare leaders to excel in today’s complex business environment. In both her current position and her past role as a founding faculty member of CEB/Gartner's Leadership Academies, Steph has effectively led career-defining leadership development programs for leaders across a wide range of major industries in 25 different countries. Steph holds a Bachelor of Science degree in History and Secondary Education, as well as a Master of Science degree in Human Resources Management. Currently, she is working on her doctoral dissertation in Organization and Management with a focus on Generation X leaders.

David RowanDavid Rowan, Ph.D., Vice President, Organizational Consulting at Psychological Associates – Dr. Rowan has a background in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis on training professionals to improve leadership capabilities, interpersonal effectiveness, and communication skills. He has experience working with executives from Fortune 500 to smaller, family-owned businesses in a variety of industries, including public accounting, financial planning, business-to-business operations, retail, hospitality, education, technology, healthcare, heavy industry, manufacturing, not-for-profit, and others. Dr. Rowan has also assisted human resources and people leaders with designing and implementing succession plans and career advancement pathways. He holds a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, Illinois Institute of Technology, and a B.A. in Psychology, Grinnell College.

Gretchen PettetGretchen Pettet, Senior Talent Development Consultant at Commerce Bank Gretchen Pettet is a passionate and engaging consultant and coach skilled in all aspects of talent and organizational development. Her experience spans financial services, higher education, government and not-for-profits, with positions as a VP of Talent and Culture, trainer, skills specialist, customer service effectiveness lead and performance consultant and coach. Gretchen is a high-energy optimist who believes anything is possible with a great team and actively works to grow and develop others through relationships built on mutual respect and trust. She has an M.B.A, Fontbonne University, M.A., Human Resource Development, Webster University and a B.A. in Psychology, St. Louis University.

Abigail Heinz FinneyAbigail Heinz Finney, Organizational Development Executive (Former Director of Leadership Development at Salesforce) Abigail Finney is a seasoned leadership development professional with over 16 years of experience in transforming organizational cultures and developing high-performing leaders. Most recently serving as Director of Manager Leadership Development at Salesforce, she has held senior consulting roles at BTS Coach and Dynamic Results LLC, designing and delivering coaching-based programs for Fortune 100 companies. With a Master's in Organizational Development and ICF certification, Abigail is known for her collaborative leadership style and ability to drive business outcomes through empathetic connections.
