PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:

Every organization should have a strategy to achieve its vision. A strong strategy sets the company up for success by defining the roadmap to achieve the vision and by focusing on the most critical company tactics. It aligns all the effort, metrics, and resources throughout the organization. This alignment creates better communications and resource efficiencies, as well as creates more organization, focus, and clarity of the business priorities to catapult it to new levels of performance. A very effective strategic approach called Hoshin Kanri has been used in Japan for sixty years and is now becoming very popular in the U.S. It is largely why companies like Toyota have become so successful. Using a template, it produces a one-page strategy that is simple to understand and communicate to all employees. Hoshin Kanri can help OD practitioners to jump start the strategic planning process by aligning an organization’s long term objectives to its initiatives, metrics, and resources. Businesses using this technique are realizing historic levels of growth, performance, and productivity. Ms. Rochetti has used this tool extensively to help companies save millions of dollars. During the session, participants will have an opportunity to apply the Hoshin Kanri method using a template that they can complete during the session. At the end of the session, they will have a preliminary strategy to take back to their organizations.
