DESCRIPTION

What is coaching and how is it related to leadership development? To organization development?  What are critical, essential elements in coaching “the good” – high potential leaders; “the bad” – those in the process of derailing; and “the ugly” – those with issues who may require clinical assistance?  What roles and responsibilities do organizational sponsors and other stakeholders have in ensuring coaching “success”? And how can we measure “success” in leadership development coaching?

Our May program, “Leadership Development Coaching with The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly” will be presented by Jim Clarkson, Principal Executive Coach of Clear Focus Solutions.  Using a model of individual behavior change, Jim will lead the group in a discussion exploring essential components in three types of coaching engagements and the roles and responsibilities organizational sponsors have before, during and after coaching engagements to ensure “success”.

He will then explore highlights of research on current “best practices” in leadership development and coaching to make the case for the essential components of effective coaching engagements.  Finally, Jim will share an interactive case study incorporating lessons learned in providing executive leadership development coaching.
