OD’s Role in Corporate Strategy
--Registration is closed--
In his recent Harvard Business Review article, Accelerate, John Kotter championed the use of purposeful systems that are devoted to continuous assessment and alignment of corporate strategy to keep up with the rapid changes that every organization experiences. As OD professionals, focused on improving the effectiveness of our organizations and our clients, it would serve us well to understand the roles we can play in bringing strategy to life. To that end, the 2013 STL-ODN Annual Conference will explore OD's Role in Corporate Strategy.
The conference will begin with a CEO’s perspective on the role of OD in corporate strategy from Dr. Jack Zenger, co-founder and CEO of Zenger Folkman, a professional services firm providing consulting, leadership development programs and implementation software for organizational effectiveness initiatives. Dr. Zenger is considered an international expert in the field of leadership and organization development, and is a highly respected and sought after speaker, consultant and executive coach. In 2011, he received the American Society of Training and Development’s Lifetime Achievement in Workplace Learning and Performance Award and was inducted into the Human Resource Development Hall of Fame.
The morning address will be followed by a discussion on corporate strategy best practices and experiences. The final morning session will consist of facilitated breakout sessions where conference participants engage in interactive discussions related to the challenges and successes of bringing corporate strategy to life.
Following lunch and networking, a discovery learning activity, led by Paradigm Learning, will allow conference participants to experience a roll out of corporate strategy. We will close out the day with three concurrent sessions that will focus on tying the day together.
Following the conference, join us for a cocktail reception where attendees can network and discuss what they learned with other OD practitioners.
