PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:

The Ad-Hoc Mission/Vision Committee was asked to develop a plan to help the STL-ODN align its strategy with a refreshed Mission and Vision.  Part of that plan includes an opportunity for members to provide input.  To that end, a special facilitated discussion is being held for all current STL-ODN members.

Objectives for this special session include identifying:

1.  What resonates with members regarding the draft Mission and draft Vision?

2.  What are the implications of the draft Mission, draft Vision and Strategy for individual members and the STL-ODN?

3.  What ideas do you have to support member engagement around bringing the Mission, Vision, and Strategy to life?

Benefits of this session include:

  • Providing valuable input on the future direction of STL-ODN.
  • Interacting with one another around the draft Mission, draft Vision and Strategy before they go live.
  • Learning about the process used for developing the Mission and Vision, and aligning those with the Executive Team’s Strategy for STL-ODN.
  • Experiencing the process of facilitating member input to validate and refine the Mission and Vision.

We will provide the space, the refreshments and the process.  Please come ready to share your thoughts and ideas!

FACILITATORS:

This meeting is being hosted by the Ad-Hoc Mission/Vision Committee with support from external facilitators, Leslie Peters and Jami Dix.

Leslie Peters is CEO and Chief Facilitator of Elements Partnership.

Leslie came to St. Louis from Nebraska to attend Washington University where she got her undergraduate degree in English.  She’s had many opportunities to explore new things and has held many positions in her career including Development Director, Executive Director, Director of Corporate Relations, Director of the Alumni and Parent Admission Program, Assistant Head for Advancement and Senior Consultant.

Leslie’s current position is the exciting culmination of the wide variety of experiences and perspectives that she has gained over the years.  Leslie and her colleagues at Elements Partnership are passionate about training, coaching, facilitating and engaging with people who are making positive change.  Taking complex information and making it easy to apply is a thrill for her and if you want to find Leslie truly in her element, look for her tackling a writing project in a coffee shop.

In addition to her undergraduate degree, Leslie has an MBA from Washington University, where she also serves as a member of the National Council for the Undergraduate Experience.  Leslie lives in University City with her daughter, a wonderful man and his son and a funny rescue dog named Ginger.

Jami Dix is a Brand Champion at Elements Partnership.

Jami made her way to St. Louis by way of Plainville, KS.  She attended the University of Kansas and received her degree in Education.  As you might guess, she is an avid Jayhawk fan!  After graduation, Jami found a development position at an independent elementary school where she worked for eleven years, during which time she learned a great deal about the world of fundraising, events and working with volunteers.

Jami is thrilled about her current position as Brand Champion at Elements Partnership.  She's passionate about meeting new people and engaging with them on a deep and meaningful level.  Jami strives to inspire people to be strong in their current roles, and it is very important to her that organizations run efficiently and effectively.  As much as she enjoys being around people, Jami also gets excited about tackling a good database and studying numbers.  When not working, Jami loves spending time with her husband and two kids.  After kids are in bed, you can find her scanning Twitter (find her @jamidix) and Facebook.  She's trying to wean herself off of Word with Friends, but sadly has already found its replacement.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: August 17th at 5:00 p.m.
