DESCRIPTION:

How do you assess your organization's readiness for a succession planning initiative?  Can you design a sustainable program including key components appropriate to your business environment?  What choices or specific criteria are necessary for identifying and evaluating high-potential talent within your organization?  What resources and support should you secure to ensure that you are successful designing, developing, deploying, and improving your Succession Planning process?

Tomorrow's successful organizations will require a purposeful succession planning process or a good deal of luck - perhaps both. Yet organizations often realize the benefits of succession planning when looking in the rear view mirror; after leaders retire with no identified or prepared replacement or as high-performers leave with years of experience and job knowledge with them.

Our panel of your OD peers will discuss the questions above and, more importantly, your questions.  They will share why their organizations created a Succession Planning process, how they secured executive support, mistakes they made along the way, and how it helped develop them personally.  Whether you are launching, improving, or consulting about Succession Planning, you won’t want to miss a minute!  Registration closes at midnight, Monday, March 5th.

Panel Members will provide perspectives from organizations such as Edward Jones, Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, and Solutia.

Panel Members Include:

Laura Heft – Director, Organization Effectiveness at Edward Jones

Elizabeth Marengo – Senior Manager, Learning and Organizational Development at Solutia Inc.

Adrienne Costello - Senior Human Resources Analyst, at Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis
