DESCRIPTION:

“Transformational change”, “enterprise change management”, “building organizational capability to manage strategic change” – these are phrases found in the strategic plans of organizations re-aligning themselves to achieve their business strategies.  However, many business leaders, when asked, still think of change management practitioners as focused on building training plans and writing communications.  Why such a disconnect?

Darryl Wilson, Change Management Director at Highmark, Inc., based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, will share his experience with identifying change management concepts and approaches that are being used to address the organization's transformational change initiatives. Through group learning activities, participants will be able to share their experiences in change management and make comparisons with the enterprise change management concepts that Darryl will discuss. Particpants wil leave the session with information which can be used to influence the design of their organization's change management strategy.
