EVENT DESCRIPTION

Anatomy of Feedback – One of the “opportunities” (a.k.a. tasks) of a consultant is providing accurate and actionable feedback to one’s clients.  Part of the consultant’s responsibility is to help redefine the situation so that the client is motivated to follow through to take corrective action or build on success.  How one delivers such feedback, particularly difficult feedback, can often make the difference whether a consulting engagement is effective.  Participants will learn the characteristics of impactful feedback, how to construct feedback statements that are likely to be heard, accepted, and acted upon.  They will be invited to use a real life situation and receive feedback on their feedback.

PRESENTER – Michael Cristiani, Ed.D.

Michael is Managing Principal of Cristiani Consulting Group, Ltd., over a dozen years of external consulting, as well as Senior Affiliate Consultant with Peter Block’s Designed Learning.  He has over 14 years of internal consulting experience as a manager and consultant (McDonnell Douglas, Bausch & Lomb) in talent systems, organizational development, quality process improvement, and leadership development.  His consulting, both domestic and international, spans a wide array of management levels and industries including high tech, IT, defense, finance, pharmaceuticals, consumer products, health care.  Clients include Johnson & Johnson, Sun Microsystems, US Department of Energy, Wells Fargo, Wendy's, Coca-Cola de Mexico, HP,
