PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:

Leadership Passages

Developing leaders involves teaching new skills and expecting new behaviors. Mastering behavioral change is challenging on several levels.  During the April Program of STL-ODN, Tom Cox, Executive Vice President of Leadership Pipeline Institute will offer an interactive and shared learning program demonstrating how a focus on Work Values, supported by shifts in Time Application and the development of Skills, facilitates how leaders think about and approach creating impact in their new roles.

Tom will present solutions that enable practitioners to build a stronger bench of leaders while creating a system or “talent factory” for future leader development.  These principles can be applied across industries and leadership levels. Tom will present ways to observe and measure these impacts both qualitatively and quantitatively.

Each person registered and attending this session of the STL-ODN will receive a copy of The Leadership Pipeline.

A sought-after inspirational speaker, Tom Cox comes to STL-ODN to share insights from over 28 years of broad, proven leadership experience spanning multiple industries and disciplines, highlighted by key leadership roles at General Electric, Marriott International and small business ventures. The expanse of industries is underscored by his versatility and notable success in a variety of functional areas including Marketing, Sales, General Operations and Finance & Accounting.

Tom’s career has been built on entering uncharted waters and leading teams through challenges and change.  As a business leader, Tom oversaw the Integration and growth of a Marriott acquisition grow from $83M to just under $100M in revenue--in two years.  Following Marriott and prior to joining the Oliver Group and LPI US, Tom joined CSS Distribution, a national packaging distribution firm, as COO. There he stabilized the operation in 10 short months with a number of initiatives around vendor performance, systems integration, inventory management programs and team development.

A developer of people and businesses, today Tom is a Principal and Executive Vice President in the Leadership Pipeline Institute, US, and oversees the operational aspects of LPI US.  The Leadership Pipeline Institute® is the official research institute and leading global provider of solutions based on the Leadership Pipeline principles.
